Get More Sleep
I get it, it’s obvious, but most people don’t get enough sleep, so it had to be said. If you’re tired all the time, it’s possible that you need more sleep. Shoot for 7-8 hours. Don’t oversleep, however, or you might actually feel more groggy throughout the day.
Drink Some Tea
Tea is a healthy way to fight off that 2pm feeling. It’s got less caffeine than coffee, but contains other ingredients that help refresh you. You even have a nice excuse to take a quick break, stretch your legs and get your head together as you fetch your drink.
Hit the Gym
We know you’ve heard it before, but exercise is an amazing way to get more energy each day. If I start the day with some exercise, the rest of my day is always better. Empty stomach cardio (cardio before you eat breakfast) is also a great way to keep your flab at a minimum.
Still tired? Take a nap if possible. Usually just 15-20 minutes will be enough to get you feeling more rested and ready to take on the day.
Drink a Gallon of Water Daily
It feels like a lot but, often we’re dehydrated and that makes us feel tired. Carry around a gallon wherever you go if possible. Don’t give up!
Take frequent breaks. Take a quick walk. Stretch. Working too long will drain you. Every 30 minutes, get up, take a break, get some water and refresh your mind. You’ll feel more focused throughout your day.
Find your body’s rhythm
Energy levels rise and fall throughout the day. Try to pay attention to these fluctuations and do your most important work when you have the energy and more routine work when you have a dip.
Take a Quick Shower
If possible, take a quick shower to refresh yourself. Hot water can melt away tension, and cold can wake you up. Sometimes it can be great to do both in a single shower.
Indulge in a Massage
Massage helps you relax, yes, but it truly helps if you’re feeling burned out. Less pain and tension equal a better ability to focus.
Even five minutes of meditation is great for finding mindfulness and focus. If you have time for more, that’s even better.
